We are seeking a driven individual with strong organisational and administrative skills to join our team as a Legal and Tax Assistant.

About the role

Reporting to the Legal Manager and Tax Advisor in Düsseldorf, the Legal and Tax Assistant will provide advanced administrative support to both German legal and the tax areas. Key responsibilities include:

  • Detailed administrative support to both teams in the fulfillment of the various tasks.
  • Support the preparatory work regarding income and specific tax returns.
  • Support with the creation and delivery of tax statements.
  • Preparation and organization of transactions under company law (company set-ups, liquidations, share transfers, changes of managing directors and other shareholder resolutions).
  • Correspondence with notaries, tax entities, authorities, IHK, chambers of commerce and similar bodies.
  • Notifications and publications in Commercial Register and other registers.
  • Maintenance of corporate deeds, correspondence files and tax files as well as maintenance of the corporate law database of the group of companies.
  • Contract management including monitoring of deadlines.

What you bring

  • Completion of apprenticeship as a commercial clerk, education as paralegal, work experience in trademark administration.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a legal or tax environment.
  • A good command of Microsoft Office 365 applications (specially MS-Word and MS-Excel).
  • Fluency in German and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills and high level of accuracy in execution.
  • An ability to work independently, but also as part of a team.
  • Service-orientation and persistence.
  • Proactivity, diligence and trustworthiness.
  • Confidence, friendliness and a courteous manner.
