About the Role
In the role of Paralegal, you work as part of the Anthos Family Legal Team providing high quality support to clients and to the Client and Legal Advisors. The role is located in Amsterdam and reports to the Head of Family Legal.

The Family Legal Team focusses on two key areas for our clients: 

•    Notarial
•    Estate Execution 

Responsibilities 
This role has a degree of direct and indirect influence and therefore, to succeed in this role you will be a proactive, diligent and client-focused achiever. You will have a direct impact on the generational life-cycle and satisfaction of family members. 
A Paralegal’s role will either focus on activities related to the Notarial activities or to the Estate Execution activities:

•    Notarial: the notarial Legal Advisors authenticate contracts, deeds and other documents by providing an appropriate certificate with a notarial seal. The advisors serve as impartial witnesses during the signing of important legal documents and verify the identity of individuals who sign important documents and ensure documents are executed voluntarily and with informed consent. 

•    Estate Execution: the Estate Execution Legal Advisors oversee the distribution of assets to beneficiaries, payment of creditors and ensures the last will created by the deceased is valid and enforceable. As Paralegal in the Estate Execution team, you will play an integral role in supporting the Estate Executor(s) giving high-quality legal advice to Client Advisors and their clients. In particular, you will support the  Estate Executor in legal, administrative, financial and practical work relating to estate execution. you are responsible for independently managing  and executing the gifts process for family owner clients.

Requirements 
•    Ideally, at least 10 years’ post-qualification experience
•    Proven experience as a Paralegal in a highly professional environment
•    Work experience and/or affinity with estate execution or notary work, preferably within an international environment
•    Analytical and numerical skills, ability to use MS Excel skills to ensure work efficiency 
•    Planning organising and integrating managerial knowledge
•    Ability to work independently using own knowledge or that of others in order to get certain tasks done 
•    Ability to make a decision; commits yourself by expressing opinions and taking action
•    Ensuring accuracy and following through on tasks
•    Demonstrates the ability to make decisions authoritatively and wisely, after adequately considering various available courses of action
•    Evaluates, selects and acts on various methods and strategies for solving problems and meeting objectives before being asked or required to do so

•    Ability to collaborate and work closely together with colleagues from the Legal and Tax Team
